The month of May

My friend proclaimed on her Facebook that "May will be a great month". This morning, on my way to school, I suddenly realised that yes, I am also looking forward to May.

First and foremost, who wouldn't look for a month which starts with a public holiday? Finally! One day I can finally sleep in and wake up late! *grin* However, that bout of indulgence will be followed with a equally draining bout of spring-cleaning. Must get rid of all the unnecessary printed papers I have in my room. Must also clear up the mess I have been leaving around in the living room as I change my bags every other day.

Next, I should be receiving my replies from King's and Manchester in at most 2 more weeks in mid-May. *fingers crossed*

Thirdly, my parents will be away on a holiday in Sydney, Australia, also in mid-May. I've been planning their airfare, accommodation, itinerary, etc. And, it's great to know that I am able to pay for their holiday! I really hope they enjoy themselves...

Last but not least, I am of course looking forward to my own trip to Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan, in end May. I wouldn't consider it a holiday as I'd be working to take care of the students on the trip. But yes, finally! A non-hardship overseas trip! *laugh*

I'm not so much looking forward to the next event - more half excited, half apprehensive - of scaling Mount Kinabalu in June. And these trips would of course indicate that the school holidays are here again! Cheers!
