Mr Right? Check this out

Adapted from image from Mr Right? Check this out

Finally have the time to blog about some articles in the Straits Times some time back.

Firstly, Mr Right? Check this out was an article about creating a checklist and being methodical about love. The article was first published in The Straits Times on Apr 21, 2008.

Like the author, I wonder sometimes if I should adopt a more practical approach to seeking a partner instead of waiting for the lightning (or Cupid) to strike. But, well, unlike the author, I dun really have friends waiting on the sidelines to set me up on blind dates... *grin* In fact, I've, more often than not, asked them to set me up.

When it comes to getting to know people, I've always been one to go with the flow. I've made friends with many guys, but somehow, they don't seem to want to take the next step.

One of my friends attribute this to the fact that I don't appear to be looking for a partner. I'm happy as I am, surrounded with my work, hobbies, shopping and backpacking trips. Yup. I guess I am happy with whom I am and perfectly content when I'm doing all the above by myself.

But I know I'd be happier if I have the opportunity to share these times with a special someone. And I know I can make the special someone happy by sharing his good and bad times. Last but not least, I would definitely like to have a special someone share in my bad times too. To know that there is someone who'd be my listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, a cuddle away...

Happiness that is shared is doubled;
Sadness that is shared is halved.
