Will you be a better person tomorrow than today?

Back from watching Shrek 2 & supper at Chomp Chomp.
Still feeling dreadfully bloated and of indigestion.
Anyway, let me first spew some rubbish on the movie I watched today.
Shrek 2. Too many songs & dance, too many cliches & too many scenes from other movies in too little a time. Some of them were a tad tired and contrived.
But the ending part was good. Could feel the adrenaline rush with the cute-guy Shrek rushing to prevent Fiona from kissing Prince Charming. And Puss was just sooooooo sweet & funny....
Supper at Chomp Chomp. Not bad. Got seats after not too long a wait. Tried the chang fen (rice rolls) you tiao (fried dough sticks). But the you tiao was too big and took away much of the taste of the chang fen. Will never forget the time I ate a really good version at the hawker centre below the army market. Cook hailed from Hong Kong. The chang fen was thin & you cen feel the layers melting in your mouth and the crispy you tiao offered a contrast in the kou gan (tastes).
The BBQ chix wings weren't exactly the best either but the chilli on the stingray had just enough oomph without overpowering the texture of the fish. Same goes for the char kuay tiao. Mmmmm.....
But enough of food...
Let me get down to more personal stuff, shall I?
Or maybe tomorrow? Time to go get some beauty sleep before my long day of leisure ahead. *grin*

Something I sent to a couple of my frens way back on April Fool's when I started teaching.
Will be posted to a new school coming Saturday. This one supposed to be Value-Added School.
Die. Heard that VAS + male principal = lots of work. Hope I can get my leave to go on holiday before Term 3 starts.
Anyway, the email is as follows:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi everybody!
Been a long while since I was last in touch. This email is more for me to rant, so just ignore if you're not interested. I wouldn't know anyway. (unless you email me back to tell me *grin*)
Am posted at XYZ Sec Sch right now. Taking 3 classes, got 1 class each of Express, Normal Academic & Normal Technical. All different subjects too - Physics, Maths and Science respectively.
All adds up to tons and tons of work. All learning styles different (if any learning style at all) and have to constantly wreck my brains out coz the students' abilities are totally from one end to another. Have to cater to both the slower students as well as the faster ones. And finding it very hard to cater to such a wide spectrum. *sigh*
Anyway, it's already Week 3 of Term 2. Can't wait for the Good Friday holiday next week. Pity teachers dun get May Day holiday... But well, another 5 more weeks before the school holidays!!!
Okies. Just a note to tell everybody I'm alive. Wouldn't say I'm alive and well, just barely surviving actually. Also a note for me to let off some steam actually.
Really have to leave my aggravations when I leave the classroom or I'll just go nuts. On one hand, try not to have too low expectations of my students, but yet, can't expect too much from them either... *long sigh*
Right. Better stop now. Got more lao-sao to rant if anybody's interested to know. Otherwise, hi and bye! (goodness knows when I'd be free or agitated enough to mass mail everybody again)
Cheers,
Sharon aka Miss Low

Oh my, it's been a long while since I last wrote.
3 months of teaching has taken its toll.
Students weren't the worse, they were 'challenging'... *wry laugh*
Wanted to throttle a couple of them, but thankfully didn't.
Brain very half dead now coz spent the entire weekend rushing lesson plans to submit to NIE supervisor. Slept only 2 hours last night and now staying up to watch CSI Miami.
What can I say? I miss my TV... *grin*
Went over to Tuas Naval Base today. Highly enlightening trip and was so proud of seeing my 'little bro' all uniformed and tagged.
Bought a green bikini. Correction, bought Style magazine which came with free bikini. Wonder when I'll ever dare to wear it out. *smile*
